Prince William County Public Works is seeking a Motor Equipment Operator II to join our drainage and construction teams. The role supports stormwater infrastructure maintenance and can involve operating fleet equipment under supervision.

Opportunities for training and certification are available. The position requires 8th grade education, at least one year of related experience, and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within one year.

Qualifications

• 8th Grade Education and 1 year of related experience.
• Full-time equipment operator in heavy construction.
• Experience with gravity pipe installation/repair is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain Class A CDL within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain storm water management infrastructure and easements.
• Operate county equipment and learn construction field from experienced staff.
• Work as part of a team and follow directions to complete tasks.
• Excellent attendance and reliability with potential advancement.
