Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering seeks a Drafter to prepare and revise engineering drawings across multiple disciplines using Creo and AutoCAD. The role is remote with onsite reporting to Idaho National Laboratory when required, following the MFC 4x10 schedule.

Required are an Associate’s degree or related certificate and at least seven years of drafting experience, including mentorship of junior drafters and strong ANSI/ASME GD&T knowledge. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or vocational certificate in drafting/design, CAD, or engineering technology.
• Seven years of relevant work experience required, including drafting/checking.
• Experience mentoring drafters or leading a drafting team.
• Experience using Creo software is required.
• Knowledge of ANSI/ASME Y14 standards and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex new drawings and revise existing drawings in 2D and 3D.
• Determine drawing elements and tolerances with input from engineers.
• Perform geometric and tolerance calculations.
• Collaborate with design engineers on parts and assemblies.
• Mentor less experienced drafters and check drafts for quality.
