Job summary

TradeWind Services in Idaho Falls, ID, seeks an experienced Drafter to plan, lay out, prepare, revise and check engineering drawings using CAD tools such as Creo and AutoCAD.

The candidate will apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and ANSI/ASME standards, work independently, mentor other drafters, and help reduce drawing backlog.

Remote work is supported with onsite visits as needed; benefits include disability insurance among others.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in drafting or engineering technology.
• Minimum 7 years drafting experience, including leading drafters.
• 3+ years experience with Creo software.
• Familiarity with ANSI/ASME Y14 drafting standards and AWS symbols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex new drawings and revisions in 2D and 3D.
• Determine drawing elements, tolerances, and component selection.
• Calculate geometric and tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Collaborate with design engineers on parts and assemblies.
• Contribute design modification ideas to improve quality.
• Provide field/as-built documentation support.
• Maintain CAD standards and report progress to management.
• Support on-site with client as needed.
