Job summary

U.S. Department of the Navy is seeking a Lead Information Systems Security Officer to oversee cybersecurity across IPTs and Labs. You will lead cybersecurity personnel to ensure IS and PIT systems comply with DoD/Navy policies and guidance.

The role requires integrating cybersecurity requirements at all acquisition phases, developing assessment and authorization plans, and producing compliant documentation. Travel to CONUS/OCONUS sites may be required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Must be suitable for federal employment.
• Must pass E-Verify employment verification check.
• DAWIA certification in Acquisition Functional Area is required within timeframes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.
• Travel to CONUS/OCONUS and remote sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Information Systems Security Officer for IPTs/Labs.
• Guide cybersecurity personnel to ensure IS/PIT systems comply with DoD/Navy policies.
• Ensure cybersecurity requirements are integrated in all acquisition phases: design, development, testing, fielding and sustainment.
• Develop plans for system assessment and authorization; evaluate assessments and recommend corrective actions with reports.
• Ensure cybersecurity for assessment/approval documentation is developed, reviewed, endorsed and maintained per DoD/DON policy.
