Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to coordinate patient appointments for DME, PAP, and oxygen services. You will ensure timely deliveries, setup, and pickups with exceptional patient service and collaboration with healthcare providers.

The role requires experience in healthcare scheduling, strong communication, and ability to manage complex schedules while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Training and mentoring duties are also included.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in healthcare scheduling, customer service, or administrative support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate delivery appointments for DME, PAP, and oxygen equipment.
• Arrange routine maintenance visits, equipment exchanges, and compliance checks.
• Prioritize urgent patient scheduling and after-hours deliveries.
• Communicate appointment details to patients and providers.
• Collaborate with physicians' offices, home health agencies, and hospital discharge planners to align timing with treatment plans.
• Handle schedule changes, cancellations, and rescheduling to minimize disruption.
• Maintain scheduling records and generate regular reports for management.
• Utilize scheduling software and patient management systems to update preferences and access requirements.
