Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer within the Design Liaison Engineering group to drive robust qualification strategies for Gas Turbine hardware. This hands-on role requires collaboration across manufacturing, quality, and global suppliers to ensure conformance and timely delivery of qualified parts.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute Gas Turbine qualification strategy through DLE qualifications.
• Ensure proper application of templates, processes, and QMS standards in qualification milestones.
• Maintain safety mindset and STOP WORK when unsafe conditions arise.
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain, Quality, GTE NPI Design and other teams.
• Apply leadership and communication skills to drive quality and continuous improvement.
• Design for producibility and lean manufacturing to optimize processes.
• Document qualification steps clearly and accurately.
• Develop and improve qualification processes and methods.
• Support cost reduction and factory-built-in quality efforts.
