Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Lead Engineer—Gas Turbine Hot Gas Path Systems to address urgent customer issues and perform root cause analyses in real time. You will work with cross-functional teams and suppliers, guiding technical decisions and delivering precise solutions for complex turbine challenges.

The role requires travel to customer sites, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field from an accredited college/university.
• 3+ years of experience in design, repair, testing, manufacturing, or operations.
• Willingness to travel globally & support off-hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, addressing hot gas path challenges to ensure safe turbine operation.
• Tackle real-time technical problems, diagnose issues, and deliver accurate, timely solutions.
• Collaborate with design, commercial, and field teams to drive root cause analyses and implement effective solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal interfaces to understand and address customer requirements.
• Interface with external and internal suppliers to identify cost-effective solutions meeting customer requests.
• Prepare and present technical information to customers and senior leadership, including written instructions for gas turbine issues and resolutions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen projects to enhance service processes and quality.
• Support field interventions at customer sites during outages, technical reviews, and inspections.
