Omaha Public Power District is seeking a Lead Distribution Engineer–Customer to join our Distribution Engineering team in Omaha, NE. You will guide engineering execution, ensure design standard consistency, and support our largest commercial and industrial customers with reliable, high‑quality engineering solutions.

Competenze

• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Nebraska or ability to obtain Nebraska registration within 6 months through reciprocity and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related discipline.
• Extensive utility distribution engineering experience and proven ability to review/approve engineering work.

• Review and approve engineering designs, work orders, and technical packages to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to OPPD standards.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional meetings to align project priorities, timelines, and customer needs.
• Drive improvements in engineering processes, tools, and workflows to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
• Mentor and support engineers at all levels to build technical capability and high team performance.
• Coordinate workload distribution and monitor project progress to ensure scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
