Job summary

Apple Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks a cross-functional display technology architect to envision, define, and implement next‑generation display features that will surprise and delight Apple customers.

You will collaborate with EE, software, firmware, system and silicon teams to architect and build solutions spanning hardware, firmware and software, while engaging with internal customer experience partners and the Pro Workflow team to meet user requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's or Ph.D. in a related field preferred (≥5 years industry experience).
• Experience with display hardware design, OLED knowledge, firmware or software development, and system modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develops complex display features spanning hardware, firmware, and software.
• Define HW/FW/SW architectures including interfaces and timing.
• Draft high-quality engineering requirements for cross-functional teams.
• Perform interdisciplinary design analyses bridging theory and implementation.
• Prototype and demonstrate new display technologies.
• Support hardware, firmware, and software implementation and factory validation.
• Define performance metrics considering power, speed, and user perception.
• Drive novel ideas to elevate display quality and customer experience.
