Job summary

Green Top Farms, a New York-based food service company, seeks a Dispatch Manager for Green Deliveries in Brooklyn. The role leads routing, dispatch, and on-time delivery of meals across NYC, managing drivers, routes, and costs.

You will hire and train the dispatch team, monitor KPIs, and partner with account teams to ensure timely handoffs. The position is full-time, on-site, with early shifts and occasional weekend events.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years in dispatch, logistics, routing, or delivery operations, including team leadership.
• Experience managing drivers and building efficient routes in a time-sensitive environment.
• Strong understanding of on-time delivery, fill rate, and delivery cost control.
• Comfortable with dispatch or routing tools and Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Calm and decisive with same-day changes.
• A commitment to personal accountability and continuous learning.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to fulfill job duties.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in cold environments averaging 30°F.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch & Routing: Build and manage daily delivery routes across the NYC area; dispatch drivers and adjust in real time for traffic and changes; ensure on-time, in-full delivery.
• Team Leadership: Lead, schedule, and develop the dispatch team, drivers, and driver helpers; hire, onboard, and train the delivery team; ensure coverage.
• Delivery Performance & Cost: Own on-time and accuracy metrics; track and control delivery cost including labor, vehicles, fuel, and tolls; drive route efficiency.
• Fleet, Safety & Compliance: Oversee vehicle readiness, maintenance scheduling, and cleanliness; enforce driver safety and cold-chain handling; manage parking and tolls.
• Coordination & Issue Resolution: Partner with commissary, plant, and account teams; resolve late/missed deliveries; communicate with client sites and account managers.
