Job summary

Project Renewal is seeking a Fleet Coordinator/Driver in New York to manage a fleet of vans, ensure safe operations, and support daily catering and meal delivery schedules. The role combines coordination, vehicle maintenance oversight, and hands-on driving responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically inclined, dependable, and responsive to transportation challenges. Must have a valid license, 2–3 years of relevant experience, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 2–3 years of commercial driving, fleet coordination, logistics, or transportation experience.
• Experience with cargo vans, box trucks, or commercial vehicles preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify vehicle issues.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied weather.
• Must pass a drug screening prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily deployment of fleet vehicles to meet catering, meal delivery, and event schedules.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operation.
• Monitor mileage, fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and inspections.
• Maintain fleet records, registrations, insurance, and service history.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Work with repair vendors and monitor costs and quality.
• Dispatch routes to drivers according to schedules.
