Job summary

Hilton is seeking a Lead Directory Services Engineer to join our in-house Technology team in Memphis, TN or Dallas, TX. You will support Identity and Access management across the enterprise, develop automation tools, and manage PingFederate/PingDirectory with LDAP, SAML and OAuth services.

You will collaborate within the Directory and Collaboration Services team to enhance Single Sign-On, improve resiliency, and onboard applications from design through operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional work experience in Technology or related field.
• 3 years of experience with PingFederate and PingDirectory or comparable identity federation and directory solutions.
• Experience coding in OGNL.
• Experience with Java development.
• Technical knowledge of Operating Platforms (Windows, UNIX, Active Directory).
• This is a hybrid role and would require to be near our Dallas or Memphis office location.
• Willing to travel up to 15%.

• Develop tools and scripts to increase automation and streamline operations.

This is your chance to be a part of an in-house Technology team that's creating consumer-facing, cutting-edge technologies revolutionizing the hospitality industry around the world! As a Lead Directory Services Engineer, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. As a part of the Directory and Collaboration Services team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Directory Services, you will support normal operations and major projects critical to providing Identity and Access management services across the enterprise, including developing, testing, debugging, and documenting platform operations, and applications integrations.

What you'll do during a typical day:

• Develop and implement authentication and identity operating standards.
• Develop tools and scripts to increase automation and streamline operations.
• Manage the PingFederate and PingDirectory platforms providing LDAP, SAML and Oauth services to the enterprise.
• Evolve the Single-Sign On and LDAP services to improve resiliency and ensure continuity of business operations.
• Resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve service quality.
• Complete SAML, OAuth and OIDC application onboarding through requirements analysis, design, implementation, and operational stages.

How you'll collaborate with others:

• Build relationships across the Technology Directory and Collaboration Services team, along with the larger Infrastructure community, to understand how the portfolio
• Take initiative to learn the interdependencies and recommend opportunities to evolve and streamline the operations
• Be curious about how the systems interconnect to develop a comprehensive understanding and to promote creative solutions

Deliverables you'll take ownership of:

• Create proactive processes to improve uptime and system processing which will support technology initiatives

What It Takes to Make the Stay

You have these minimum qualifications:

• Five (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
• Three (3) years of experience working with PingFederate and PingDirectory or comparable identity federation and directory solutions
• Experience coding in OGNL
• Experience with Java development
• Technical knowledge of Operating Platforms (Windows, UNIX, Active Directory)
• This is a hybrid role and would require to be near our Dallas or Memphis office location.
• Willing to travel up to 15%

It would be useful if you have:

• Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
• Seven (7) + years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
• Five (5) + years of direct experience with Ping, LDAP, and directory structures
• Three (3) + years of experience with a Java Application server (WebLogic, WebSphere, Glassfish, or Apache Tomcat)
• Experience developing/implementing web interfaces (SOAP, CGI, or REST)
• Experience with the Atlassian Collaboration Stack
• Experience with markup languages (XML, XHTML)
• Experience with multi-factor authentication solutions

The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $145,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan, consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
