Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is hiring a Directional Drill Operator/Locator Foreman to operate HDD rigs, locate utilities, and lead field crews on underground telecom projects. You will work outdoors in varying weather and coordinate safety procedures.

You should have 3 years HDD experience, a valid driver's license and CDL within 30 days, plus ability to read maps and drawings. MasTec offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Horizontal Directional Drill experience.
• CDL class and a driver’s license required within 30 days.
• Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams for builds.

Responsibilities

• Operate HDD rigs for underground telecom conduit and fiber optic cable installation.
• Locate utilities and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Ensure permits and locates are on-site and accurate.
• Set up, maintain, and clean up work sites with traffic control.
• Lead field teams and ensure quality workmanship.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
