Community Services, Inc. (CSI) seeks a Day Shift Lead Direct Support Professional in Forest Grove, OR. The LDSP will provide care and support for individuals with disabilities, promoting independence and a supportive environment.

The role includes leading shifts, coordinating with healthcare professionals, and participating in ongoing training. Compensation reflects benefits and a commitment to high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have one year of prior experience as a DSP.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Lead DSP positions require a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Acceptable background check.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing life skills, such as communication, self-care, and household management.
• Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, recreational activities, and other outings.
• Assist in the management of personal finances and review of documentation for the individuals in your care; share on-call responsibilities with the supervisor.
• Be a problem solver, navigating challenges with grace and integrity.
• Provide person-centered services, supports and advocacy in positive environments.
• Each shift offers opportunities to make a difference in the lives you serve.
• Implement behavior support plans, teaching coping strategies and promoting positive social interactions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
