Job summary

Easterseals NJ in Toms River, NJ is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP) to support the Site Manager and mentors a team of DSPs. This role focuses on delivering person-centered services to individuals with disabilities across community, facility, or in-home settings, ensuring regulatory standards and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include ensuring 100% compliance, documenting in the EHR, and collaborating with teams and regulators.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Takes a lead role in adhering to all regulatory compliance and training requirements with 100% compliance.
• Collaborates with internal and external teams, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders with professionalism.
• Adheres to the consumer’s plan of care in all areas of adult daily living; provides direct supports in various settings.
• Documents UIR’s and submits to compliance within required timeframes.
• Participates in audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Assists management with continuity of care.
• Ensures all documentation is entered into the EHR system.
