Job summary

St. John’s Community Services in Newark, Delaware is seeking a Lead DSP to manage residential program operations and directly support individuals with disabilities. You will supervise staff, ensure compliant documentation, and assist with billing and coordination of medical appointments.

Qualifications

• This role requires basic computer skills to use internal software programs.
• Strong organization and time management abilities are essential to meet goals.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff at various levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in utilizing public resources and life experiences.
• Train and mentor new employees.
• Monitor daily notes to validate services meet goals.
• Ensure documentation clearly states supports provided.
• Review/approve daily service notes and enter billing.
• Provide staff feedback on note quality and compliance.
• Assist supervisor with timely billing for services.
• Schedule and attend medical appointments and follow physicians' orders.
• Maintain homes to be clean and presentable.
• Encourage independence and provide direct care as needed.
• Transport individuals to activities and appointments.
• Support independence and meaningful social roles.
• Perform direct support duties as per schedule.
• Ensure PSRs are done after every therapy transaction.

Associate degree or 60 credits with 6 months related experience
