Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional for the Day Program in South Bend. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday from 8am to 4pm, with flexibility to cover shifts and lead day services at the South Bend office.

The Lead DSP coordinates services for individuals, supports daily activities, plans outings, and ensures safety and dignity while helping people live as independently as possible. Training is provided and growth opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.

• Assist with activities of daily living (mobility, dressing, bathing, toileting, hygiene).
• Assist with financials and documentation.

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Need to be flexible and available to assist with shift coverage, all job duties of a group home Lead DSP

This employee would be the lead support for Day service hours running from the South Bend office. This employee would be in charge of planning activities, field trips and instructions for the individuals that come to the South Bend office daily for day program. This person would also engage in these activities. This employee would begin and end their shift at the South Bend office. This employee should have high, positive energy with good organizational skills.

ALead Direct Support Professional is responsible for the coordination of services to the individuals served, including finance, medical, recreation, program services, family contact/involvement, education, and household management. A Lead provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
