Job summary

The Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional who can guide DSPs and people supported through daily living activities with compassion and leadership.

You’ll provide administrative and training support to Program Managers, coordinate with teams, maintain Therap documentation, and ensure adherence to behavior support plans while promoting high-quality, person-centered care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Direct Support Professional experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security number.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day direct support and leadership to DSPs.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and quality audits.
• Maintain documentation in Therap and Teams.
• Coordinate with Program Managers and other departments.
• Ensure meals meet dietary and health requirements.
• Transport and provide emergency support.
