Job summary

Charles Lea Center is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Responsibilities include mentoring new staff, assisting with training, coordinating with internal teams, documenting in Therap, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements. The role is based in the Spartanburg area and may require coverage at other Charles Lea Center locations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of related experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver, or similar).
• Hold a valid driver''s license.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support and assist program managers with the Performance Development Process.
• Support onboarding and mentoring of new employees and provide ongoing training.
• Assist with pre-admission meetings and communication of incoming individuals'' needs.
• Monitor training data and coordinate corrective training.
• Perform routine Direct Support Professional duties including transportation and meals.
• Document services in Therap and submit maintenance requests.
• Attend routine meetings with the Program Manager to review updates and needs.
• Maintain licensing, compliance, and support documentation.
