Job summary

Sevita is hiring a Direct Support Professional Lead (Onsite, Full-time & Part Time) in Cedar Rapids to support individuals with developmental disabilities. The role includes mentoring, daily living assistance, and community engagement, with a starting pay of $21–$22 per hour plus benefits.

Eligible candidates will have a valid driver's license, at least 6 months in the field, and a clean driving record, plus a HS diploma or GED and background checks clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months experience in the field.
• A clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Successful clearance of background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in reaching personal and developmental goals, from budgeting and nutrition to community activities and recreation.
• Build strong, trusting relationships as a mentor, advocate, and friend.
• Take initiative every day in a role where your ideas and dedication are valued.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, personal care, and outings.
• Promote inclusion by helping individuals engage with their communities and enjoy their favorite events.
