Job summary

Sevita is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to empower individuals in community-based settings. You’ll collaborate with clinical staff to implement therapeutic and behavioral plans, helping participants live as independently as possible.

Training and supervision are provided as you support daily living skills and community participation. Based in community settings, this role offers full and part-time schedules with a strong emphasis on safety, accountability, and growth within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older required.
• Six months of human services experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Successful background checks.

Responsibilities

• Transportation and support in the community: outings/field trips, medical appointments, and shopping.
• Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and medication administration.
• Provide guidance on developmental goals: community participation, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities.
• Support living skills such as personal hygiene, grooming, bathing and toileting.
• Help individuals redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors.

Based in community settings, within a program, and working closely with our clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans, DSPs provide assistance and strategies to the individuals we serve to live as independently as possible.

Pay Rate: $18.47 hourly

• Transportation and support out in the community: outings/field trips, medical appointments, and shopping
• Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and assist with medication administration
• Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and supporting vocational responsibilities
• Support persons served with living skills such as personal hygiene, grooming, and/or bathing and toileting
• Assist individuals we serve to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be minimum of 18 years of age
• Six months of experience in human services preferred
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
• Successful clearance of background checks
• A reliable, responsible attitude
