Job summary

Mains’l Services is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals in their homes and communities. You will focus on person-centered supports, skill-building, and advocacy, with opportunities to lead a team and coordinate care.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a DSP or similar.
• Ability to pass a background check through DHS.
• 18 years or older.
• Valid US driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered supports tailored to individual needs (ADLs, behavioral supports, coaching and skill-building).
• Assist with transportation to activities and medical appointments.
• Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming living environments (laundry, housekeeping, meal prep).
• Teach valuable skills including financial management and communication.
• Be a source of companionship, guidance, and advocacy.
• Accurately document care and daily activities.

Pay & Schedule

• $21.00 per hour
• Mon/Tues 8:30am-3:30pm Wed 2pm-10pm Thurs 8:30am-3:30pm EOW 8am-3pm

What You’ll Do:

As a DSP, you’ll support an individual in their home and community. No two days look exactly the same — but your impact is clear.

You May:

• Provide Person Centered Supports tailored to the individual needs (including Activities of Daily Living, behavioral supports, coaching and skill-building)
• Assist with transportation to various activities and medical appointments
• Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming living environments (including laundry, housekeeping, and meal preparation).
• Teach valuable skills—from financial management to communication.
• Be a source of companionship, guidance, and advocacy.
• Accurately document care and daily activities
• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping
• Support budgeting house cash
• Coordinate medical appointments, medication ordering/pick up
• Assist with monthly paperwork

What We’re Looking For:

• 1 Year of experience as a DSP or similar
• Compassion, reliability, and a willingness to learn
• 18 years or older
• A valid US driver’s license, reliable transportation with insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check through DHS
