Job summary

Community Services, Inc. in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP) for day shift (Wednesday to Saturday, 6:00am–4:00pm), 40 hours per week, full-time with excellent benefits.

The LDSP supports individuals with disabilities in daily living, life skills, and independence while coordinating with an interdisciplinary team. Ideal candidates are compassionate, dedicated, at least 18 years old, with DSP experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• One year of prior experience as a DSP.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Lead DSP requires a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing life skills and daily living.
• Accompany individuals to appointments, events, and outings.
• Assist in managing personal finances and documentation for individuals.
• Share on-call responsibilities with the location supervisor.
• Provide person-centered services and advocacy in positive, life-enriching environments.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, families, and case managers.

(CSI), as Lead Direct Support Professionals (LDSPs), to provide care and support for individuals with disabilities. As a Lead DSP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by assisting them in various aspects of daily living, promoting independence, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.What you will do as a Lead DSP:Ultimately, the goal is to help the people you support, feel and become as independent as possible, while they live their daily lives. Among other things, you will:Support individuals in developing life skills, such as communication, self-care, and household management.Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, recreational activities, and other outings.Assist in the management of personal finances and review of documentation for the individuals in your care.
