Job summary

Merakey in Stockton, CA seeks a Lead Direct Support Professional to support individuals with disabilities in residential and community settings, guiding daily living, transportation, and health-related tasks.

This onsite role shifts 3pm-11pm Tue-Sat, with pay at $26-$28 per hour, and a rate increase after obtaining RBT certification. Responsibilities include leading shift, documenting progress, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification-Registered Behavior Technician or licensed psychiatric technician; or become a registered behavior technician within 60 days of initial employment.
• 6 months experience working with IDD/MH population or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Act in lead role on assigned shift; point person for all activities, incident notification/reporting, and overall program responsible liaison.
• Assists Administrator in staff scheduling as assigned.
• Supports Individual(s) in tasks in a residential and/or community setting to include activities of daily living and personal care.
• May accompany individual(s) to appointments and complete pre/post paperwork.
• May dispense medication per policy; report errors.
• Documents daily progress in the electronic health record; updates communication logs.
• Reports uncharacteristic situations to management immediately.
• Promotes independence by facilitating engagement in community resources and activities.
