Job summary

Kennesaw State University is hiring a Lead Dining Operations Associate for the Student Center, Marietta campus. The role supports the Chick-fil-A location and may assist other retail outlets within the site.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily operations, staff training, inventory, and ensuring health and safety compliance. A High School diploma is required, with dining experience and ServSafe certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of dining related experience.
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred.
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in a related field is preferred.

Secondary Location:

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Department Information

This position is supporting the Chick-fil-A location within the Student Center, however, this position may be expected to support other retail outlets within the location.

Job Summary

Assists supervisors and managers with daily tasks for the designated location. Assists with daily operational and service needs, task delegation for the team, customer service needs, food, sanitation and health safety compliance and developing employees.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists supervisor with oversight of assigned staff along with execution and monitoring of work
  • Trains assigned employees according to established policies and procedures
  • Ensures all employees are aware and trained in brand, unit or station standards
  • Assists the location supervisor to include opening and closing procedures
  • Assists with maintaining and taking inventory and orders supplies as needed that comply with brand and/or station standards, health code and regulations
  • Responsible for oversight of position and break rotations
  • Ensures compliance with all food and health related safety codes and regulations
  • Ensures cleanliness of building, location and/or station.
  • Cross-trained of all areas in the given location or building and able to support where needed
  • May serve food from assigned station, location, and/or as assigned
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Required Experience

  • One (1) year of dining related experience
Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification

Preferred Educational Qualifications

  • An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience

  • Previous lead or supervisor experience in a retail, food service or restaurant location
Proposed Salary
