Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Digital Twin & Simulation Principal responsible for leading strategy, design, and implementation of high-fidelity digital twins for machines, job sites, and workflows enabling automation and robotics.

You will collaborate across engineering, autonomy, and product teams to ensure simulations meet business needs and align with real-world data, shaping the future of autonomous construction sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related discipline.
• 10+ years in simulation, robotics or autonomy with direct Omniverse-based digital twins experience preferred.
• Strong expertise in system-level simulation and digital twin technologies.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term vision for the simulation environment with senior management.
• Establish multi-year plan for simulation and digital systems.
• Create scale through platform development and detailed system architectures.
• Determine technologies and integration patterns to support simulation capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, autonomy, controls, software, product teams and data groups to meet business outcomes.
• Oversee model validation and governance to keep digital twins accurate.
