STR Sensors Division is seeking a Digital Hardware Engineer to support engineering development, integration, and demonstration of complex electronic systems. You will lead prototype efforts for digital circuit cards and modules, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver field-ready hardware.

The role requires strong aptitude in digital design, clocking schemes, and system architecture, with opportunities for growth within a fast-expanding defense-focused company.

Formación

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline.
• Experience with digital circuit card design and working with design, build, integration and test of complex electronic systems.
• Experience defining digital interfaces, clocking schemes, and system architecture for hardware built around microcontrollers, FPGAs/SoCs, and data-converter ICs.
• Experience with high-speed digital interfaces (PCIe, SerDes, Ethernet, DDR) and with signal-integrity analysis.
• Experience with CAD-based schematic capture and simulation tools such as Altium Designer.
• Familiarity collaborating on RF systems and subsystems.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python and/or other higher-level languages.
• Strong mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design high-speed digital circuit card assemblies across platforms and form factors, including custom boards and SoMs.
• Lead small multi-disciplinary teams to design, build, and test hardware systems for field-deployable prototypes.
• Quantify goals, system performance objectives, metrics, dependencies, and risk to guide the work.
• Support test and troubleshooting of digital modules and sub-assemblies.
• Perform signal-integrity, power-integrity, and timing analysis; define stackups and design constraints.
• Generate and review test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, and documentation.
• Conduct performance trades studies and analyses to derive and verify requirements; use simulations and real-world testing.
• Interface with government sponsors and suppliers as necessary.
• Mentor peers and junior engineers in areas of expertise.
