Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electrical Subsystems Digital Senior Principal Engineer in Tucson to lead digital design efforts for development guidance systems and to drive subsystem architecture through early development phases. The role includes CAM responsibilities and collaboration with multiple teams and customers.

You will mentor staff, oversee cost and schedule, and participate in design reviews while supporting risk reduction activities and hardware integration across the Raytheon portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and ≥10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design.
• Decomposition of high-level requirements into actionable design.
• Experience with digital subsystems and circuit card design (CCA).
• Active US DoD Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital design efforts for development guidance systems.
• Architectural development of the guidance subsystem through trade studies and requirements decomposition.
• Accountable for program cost, schedule, and technical oversight through early development life cycle.
• Support component-level design and design reviews.
• Mentor and collaborate with management, customers, and suppliers.
• Travel up to ~25% as needed.
• Guide teams through hardware lifecycle phases (design, analysis, build, test).
