Job summary

Regency at Grand Blanc in Grand Blanc, MI is seeking a Dietitian Services Manager to oversee the Dietary Department, staff supervision, and menu planning to meet residents' nutritional needs.

Responsibilities include budgeting, procurement, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with nursing to ensure therapeutic diets follow physician orders. A Registered Dietitian with ServSafe is preferred; on-site, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Dietician in healthcare or skilled nursing setting preferred.
• One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS, care planning, and clinical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations governing dietary and nutritional services.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the dietary department and provides supervision to the dietary staff to ensure nutritional needs of residents.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws.
• Participates in department head meetings, Resident at Risk meetings, and care plan meetings.
• Oversees purchase of food and supplies within budget and maintains supplies for each meal.
• Provides guidance on diet planning, menu formulation, preparation, and service of regular/therapeutic diets.
• Ensures menus meet resident nutritional needs and follow physician orders and regulations.
• Interviews residents or family members for diet history and maintains records of food likes/dislikes.
• Monitors weekly/monthly weights and collaborates with nursing for recommendations.
• Monitors food preparation and storage to meet sanitation regulations.
