Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen; non-citizens only where allowed by VA policy.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) with CDR credentialing.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating food service operations.
• Ability to apply nutrition knowledge to menu development and standards.
• Experience developing training and reference materials; data-driven improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a food service and production operation and supervise staff.
• Ensure menus meet nutrition standards and align with patient needs.
• Provide administrative management for the Food Operations Section.
• Implement Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point program and quality controls.
• Collaborate with clinical nutrition to support veterans' dining and outcomes.
• Lead training, planning, and evaluation of staff performance.
