Formación

• United States Citizenship required (non-citizens allowed only per VA policy)
• RDN or RD must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• GS-13: 1 year of experience at the next lower grade or equivalent
• Knowledge of budget planning, contracting and food/supply purchasing to operate a food service program
• Written communications skills including policy development and SOPs
• Strategic planning to develop goals and action plans
• Data analysis to monitor outcomes
• Supervisory/leadership abilities (plan-organize-delegate-direct-control)
• Negotiation skills

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory authorities while maintaining a veteran-centric focus
• Provide leadership and serve as professional advisor to staff and health care professionals in food service operations
• Oversee HR staffing, employee relations and labor relations in Food Service Operations
• Direct supervisory and personnel management activities for subordinate staff
• Establish and implement training plans for the food operations section
• Develop and lead food operations and align goals with NFS/ VISN/ national programs
• Lead continuous quality improvement in Food Service Operations
• Identify problems, set goals, and analyze data to improve outcomes
• Develop/update policies and procedures and ensure regulatory compliance
• Coordinate policies with clinical nutrition management, nursing and other services
• Manage budgets and resources; propose growth and efficiency opportunities
• Direct contract management, subsistence and supply purchasing; report to NFS Chief
• Collaborate with other Supervisory Dietitians to support department operations
• May perform other duties; schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm; Telework available/adhoc
