Job summary

The Supervisory Dietitian (Food Operations) leads a Veteran-Centric food operation with four sections, providing professional and managerial support within the NFS executive team. The role focuses on achieving patient satisfaction, coordinating food production and service modalities, and aligning with clinical nutrition goals.

As a high-level supervisor, you will oversee budget planning, contracting, staff development, and compliance with regulatory standards, while directing strategic actions

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; non-citizens may be appointed only as allowed by policy.
• Must hold the RDN credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Education and credentialing requirements align with VA qualification standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and managerial leadership for the Food Operations section.
• Manage HR staffing, employee relations and labor relations within Food Service Operations.
• Develop training plans and oversee food operations, budgeting and procurement.
• Collaborate with clinical nutrition to enhance Veteran dining experience and program goals.
