Job summary

Transdev in Los Angeles, CA seeks an experienced Technician in Charge to diagnose and repair commercial vehicles, manage daily technician scheduling, and ensure safe, efficient operations. The role emphasizes leadership, quality workmanship, and customer communication in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers hourly compensation and comprehensive benefits. Road calls and emergency service may be required, along with ongoing ASE/EVT certification to stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel technician.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical examination (DOT 49 CFR Part 40).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle repairs.
• Remove, clean, repair, reinstall, and adjust components.
• Engine repair and diagnosis; emission components (state certification).
• Drivetrain, electrical, brakes, suspension, hydraulics work.
• Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure work orders are completed and actions properly documented.
• Coordinate workload of the diesel technician team and ensure timely completion.
