Job Summary

Opportunity to use exceptional skills and knowledge to support overall business goals while mentoring and developing other technicians. Will work closely with the management team to provide insights on overall shop operations.

Responsibilities

1. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic issues.
2. Work with management to help assign proper technicians to complete tasks.
3. Participate in and complete manufacturing training to obtain certifications.
4. Help ensure staff works safely, accurately, and efficiently.
5. Provide input on technicians' development.
6. Perform repairs as needed.
7. Mentor technicians to enhance their overall development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Ability to work on trucks, including climbing into and out of, and crawling under to make repairs.
2. Ability to work safely and promote safety in the workplace.
3. Ability to teach less experienced technicians.
4. Ability to stand for long periods.
5. Ability to use a PC to update work order status and explain maintenance and repairs.
6. Ability to verbally and in writing explain the status of work orders.
7. Ability to keep management informed of any concerns on the floor.
8. Dependability.

Minimum Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electrical experience.
• Refrigeration unit experience is a plus.
• CDL B license or willingness to obtain within 120 days.
• State Inspection License is a plus.
• ASE Certifications are preferred; goal to have this individual fully certified.
