Denali Water Solutions LLC in Advance, NC is seeking an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to turn a wrench, diagnose problems, and keep our fleet of Class A trucks and heavy equipment running.

This hands-on leadership role involves guiding shop operations, prioritizing repairs, training junior mechanics, and ensuring safety and DOT compliance across diesel trucks, dozers, loaders, excavators, and conveyors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years diesel mechanic experience required.
• Strong hands-on experience with heavy equipment and diesel trucks.
• Experience on Class A trucks and trailers preferred.
• Proficient in hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day shop operations and prioritize repairs.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and drivetrains.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
• Work on Class A trucks, road tractors, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics and ensure quality workmanship.
