GFL Environmental Inc. in North Wilkesboro, NC seeks an experienced diesel/CNG mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet. You will lead inspections, mentor junior techs, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering timely maintenance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance, DOT/OSHA knowledge, brake/609 certifications, and ASE are preferred. CDL considered a plus. Join a team dedicated to reliability and safety.

Formación

• 5+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
• Brake safety certificate and 609 A/C system certification.
• ASE Certifications preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed schematics and manuals.
• Experience using diagnostic software; computer literate.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and repair diesel and CNG trucks.
• Lead inspections of brakes, engines, emission systems, steering, wheel bearings.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to level B and C mechanics.
• Prioritize repairs for efficiency and timely completion of work orders.
• Oversee review of mechanical write-ups and repair schedule.
• Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete reports, work orders, orders parts and perform admin duties.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
• Interpret electrical and diagnostic schematics.
• Participate in training classes to increase skills.
• Maintain a clean work area.
