Job summary

Stivers Ford South Union City is seeking an experienced Diesel / Fleet Technician to join our Service Department. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered Ford Super Duty and commercial vehicles, with emphasis on fleet service and quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates have some automotive experience and are eager to grow skills in diesel, with Ford factory procedures and team support. This role offers a path to certification, great workflow, and competitive pay paths.

Qualifications

• Some previous professional automotive technician experience required.
• Diesel experience preferred, but we are willing to develop the right technician.
• Experience with Ford trucks or Super Duty vehicles is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles.
• Perform service and repairs on Ford Super Duty and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine performance concerns.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on fleet vehicles.
• Perform brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
• Perform diesel fuel system and emissions-system diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Perform engine, transmission, driveline, and related component repairs.
• Use factory scan tools and diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
• Follow Ford factory repair procedures and dealership processes.
• Properly document diagnostic findings and repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of repair quality.

DIESEL / FLEET TECHNICIAN

Stivers Ford South Union City is looking for an experienced Diesel / Fleet Technician to join our growing Service Department!

We are looking for a motivated technician who has some professional automotive experience and wants to build their skills in diesel, commercial, and fleet vehicle repair.

This is a great opportunity for a technician who enjoys working on Ford trucks, Super Duty vehicles, diesel engines, and fleet vehicles and wants to become part of a team with a strong flow of work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles.
