Job summary

Dick Smith Ford is seeking an experienced Ford Diesel Technician for our Commercial Truck Service Center in Columbia, SC. This role offers consistent work, strong earning potential, and a dealership that rewards performance.

Starting pay is $55.00 per flat-rate hour, with a generous bonus structure and opportunities for Ford factory training and certifications. Join a growing team servicing Ford Super Duty and other commercial fleets.

Qualifications

• Ford diesel and Power Stroke experience strongly preferred.
• Strong electrical and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Modern shop equipment and factory diagnostic tools.
• Paid training opportunities are provided.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, transmissions, driveline components, electrical systems, emissions systems, steering, suspension, brakes and HVAC.
• Perform preventive maintenance, vehicle inspections, D.O.T. inspections.
• Use Ford diagnostic equipment and factory service information.
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Document diagnostic findings and completed repairs.
• Communicate repair needs clearly with the service team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
