Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse to lead the dialysis team, directing direct patient care staff and coordinating with physicians to implement patient care plans.

You will supervise daily operations, ensure safety, and maintain adherence to facility policies and regulatory requirements while supporting ongoing staff development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience and an additional 3 months of clinical experience in dialysis.
• RN charge nurses assuming responsibility for nursing and patient services in the absence of the Clinical Manager.
• One-year clinical experience and six months dialysis experience required.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Training in theory and practice of hemodialysis is required.
• Good communication skills – verbal and written.
• Must meet state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance, support and direction to direct patient care staff.
• Participate in department staffing, hiring, firing and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and state/federal regulations.
• Coordinate and supervise patient care plans and assignments.
• Oversee documentation of patient information and safety practices.
• Supervise staff during dialysis and ensure proper technique and equipment use.
