Job summary

Tier4 Group is seeking a hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer in Chicago to spearhead a high-impact DevSecOps transformation. You will drive modernization of pipelines, migrate from Azure DevOps to GitHub, and embed AI-enabled practices across the SDLC.

You will mentor engineers, design scalable IaC standards, and define metrics to measure DevOps maturity. This is an onsite, full-time role offering growth and impact.

Qualifications

• Proven DevOps leadership with a strategic mindset.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and AWS environments.
• Hands-on experience migrating pipelines or platforms.
• Ability to modernize SDLC and identify AI integration opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the redesign of fragmented DevOps pipelines.
• Drive migration from Azure DevOps to GitHub and build end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code standards and templates.
• Implement security controls including SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC, and container scanning.
• Mentor engineers and promote DevSecOps best practices.
• Contribute to building a DevSecOps Center of Excellence.
• Establish metrics to measure DevOps maturity and adoption.
• Lead redesign of pipelines in the first 90–180 days and support migration to GitHub.
• Identify AI opportunities within the toolchain.
