Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking an Operations Team Lead for a high‑performing DevOps/Operations team that ensures security, resilience, and reliability of critical systems hosted in OpenShift. This role is a key personnel position supporting an intelligence customer.

You will guide deployment automation, Helm chart development, IaC practices, PKI management, and CI/CD workflows while collaborating directly with mission partners and government customers.

Qualifications

• Top Secret/SCI clearance required with Polygraph or ability to obtain
• Bachelor's degree in IT or STEM field
• 7+ years leading operations/DevOps teams
• 5+ years implementing DoD/IC cybersecurity requirements
• 3+ years working with cloud technologies
• IAT Level II (Security+) with IAT Level III preferred
• Experience in Agile/SAFe environments
• Strong communication with users and government customers
• Knowledge of containerization, monitoring, logging, networking, and security

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor an Operations/DevOps team supporting multi-environment system sustainment and deployment
• Prioritize work across the team to ensure timely issue resolution
• Collaborate with users and government customers to understand requirements and communicate system status
• Perform system administration, troubleshooting, testing, and security operations
• Develop and maintain deployment automation and operational documentation
• Support and enhance CI/CD deployment workflows and security scans
• Manage PKI certificates and system configurations
• Develop Helm charts for OpenShift deployments and IaC practices
• Monitor performance and ensure reliability across environments
