Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an experienced Operations Team Lead to guide a DevOps/Operations team responsible for security, resilience, and reliability of critical systems hosted in OpenShift.

The role requires strong leadership, DoD/IC cybersecurity experience, and a background in automation, configuration, and enhancements to deployments supporting mission partners and government customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading operations/DevOps teams with strong management experience.
• 5+ years implementing DoD/IC cybersecurity requirements.
• 3+ years working with cloud technologies.
• IAT Level II certification (Security+) required; IAT Level III preferred.
• Experience supporting Agile/SAFe environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor an Operations/DevOps team across multi-environment sustenance and user support.
• Prioritize work, distribute tasks, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Collaborate with users and government customers to capture requirements and report status.
• Perform system admin, troubleshooting, testing, and security operations.
• Maintain SOPs, SLAs, and system guides.
• Receive code from development teams and complete builds, hardening, and deployment automation.
• Support CI/CD workflows and security scans.
• Manage PKI certificates and system configurations for compliance.
• Develop Helm charts for OpenShift and support IaC practices.
• Monitor metrics to ensure performance and readiness across environments.
