Job summary

Skydance is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to join the Applied Intelligence Personalization team. You will build scalable, low-latency infrastructure powering personalization across Paramount streaming platforms, handling real-time ML inference, event-driven messaging, and high-traffic services.

You will own Kubernetes-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring. The role emphasizes production reliability, security, and performance, with collaboration across data, ML, and application

Qualifications

• 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infra Engineering.
• Strong Kubernetes experience and container orchestration.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Deep knowledge of GCP/AWS/Azure.
• IaC using Terraform and Helm.
• Experience with messaging architectures (Pub/Sub, Kafka).
• Proficiency in monitoring/logging systems (New Relic, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
• Track record owning production reliability; SLIs/SLOs and postmortems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable Kubernetes-based infrastructure for personalization services.
• Build and own CI/CD pipelines to production for services and ML models.
• Set up observability with Prometheus, New Relic, OpenTelemetry, Grafana; define SLIs/SLOs.
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance of production APIs and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with app, data, and ML teams to integrate workloads into the platform.
• Implement autoscaling strategies (HPA, KEDA, traffic-driven).
• Manage Pub/Sub and event-driven architectures for real-time messaging.
• Optimize hot-path services with Redis, Memcached, etc.
• Debug production latency, scaling, and reliability issues.
