Job summary

STR’s Collaborative Autonomy and Control (CAC) Group seeks a Lead DevOps Engineer to lead software teams building infrastructure and tooling for autonomous platforms. You will guide deployment pipelines, technical mentoring, and lifecycle management from prototype to integrated systems.

Based in Woburn, MA, Arlington, VA, or Dayton, OH, this role supports flexible hybrid work and collaborates with internal leadership and customers on strategic software product plans.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen required.
• BS in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, AWS services (EKS/ECR/EC2).
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes, Helm.
• Strong Linux skills; scripting with Python.
• Proven ability to lead within agile teams through full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead software teams to design, develop, and maintain infra and tooling.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across the SDLC.
• Develop tools for mission planning, autonomous platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
