Job summary

STR is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to lead software teams designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure and tooling for deploying software in operational use on autonomous platforms. You will provide technical leadership across the full software lifecycle, mentor engineers, and drive DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

This position offers a flexible hybrid environment (Woburn, MA; Arlington, VA; or Dayton, OH) with remote options when not requiring STR facilities, and requires

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related technical field and 7+ years of experience.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD and containerized deployments.
• Proficiency with Linux, Python, and agile software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across software teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and tooling for deploying software in operational use.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and automated testing to ensure mature software products.
• Collaborate with internal leadership and customers on software product plans.
