Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Lead/ Senior DevOps Engineer to advance automation, CI/CD, and IaC across firmware, software, and backend services. The role spans development platforms, tooling, and deployment automation and emphasizes security, reliability, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, GitHub Enterprise, and Azure, and thrives on building scalable, observable systems. This hybrid position can be based in PA or GA and requires US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Release Engineering, or related roles.
• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• 4+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• 4+ years of experience with containerization technologies and automated build/test environments.
• 4+ years of scripting and automation experience using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now and in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting firmware, embedded software, backend services, and engineering tools.
• Develop automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve engineering efficiency.
• Build and maintain engineering infrastructure, development platforms, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Enhance developer experience through self-service tools, automation frameworks, and platform improvements.
• Support release management, artifact management, deployment automation, and environment management.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices across development and production systems.
• Support cybersecurity and product compliance requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Drive adoption of DevOps and DevSecOps best practices across the lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, deployment, and automation challenges.
• Partner with firmware, software, and quality teams to improve reliability, scalability, and productivity.
