Job summary

Fidelity Life is seeking a Senior DevOps Lead to design and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will coach engineers, implement IaC with Terraform, and guide production deployments with automation and safety checks.

You will lead incident response, drive platform improvements, and align execution with enterprise standards while partnering with cross‑functional teams. Remote work options available within the Chicago area.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Engineering or related field, or commensurate real‑world DevOps experience.
• 7+ years in a DevOps role, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering, including leading engineers and delivering complex initiatives.
• Proven experience with AWS services and cloud migration projects.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools; Bitbucket Pipelines preferred.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Strong knowledge of Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience leading incident response and production reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and ongoing management of scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, coaching engineers.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines) and IaC tooling (Terraform).
• Drive successful, repeatable production deployments with automation and rollback.
• Improve deployment safety through automation and pre/post‑deploy checks.
• Define technical strategy and roadmaps aligned with architecture and standards.
• Lead people management, performance reviews, and hiring within the team.
