Job summary

Fidelity Life is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code initiatives. You will coach engineers, drive complex deployments, and ensure automation and reliability across the platform.

Based in Des Plaines, IL, this on-site role offers collaboration across teams to meet enterprise objectives, enhance security, and maintain platform standards while enabling product teams through automation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Engineering or related field, or commensurate real-world DevOps experience.
• 7+ years in a DevOps role, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience with AWS services and cloud migration projects.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools and modern pipeline automation; Bitbucket Pipelines preferred.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Strong knowledge of Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes containers/orchestration.
• Demonstrated experience leading incident response and production reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, coaching engineers toward successful delivery.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines), Terraform IaC, and internal tooling.
• Drive production deployments with focus on automation, safety, and rollback strategies.
• Establish technical implementation strategy and continuous improvement roadmap aligned with enterprise standards.
