Gerber Life Insurance Company is seeking a senior, hands-on DevOps and Cloud Engineering leader to accelerate how software changes are developed, deployed and delivered across the organization. This role centers on owning the DevOps architecture and modernization blueprint while guiding a small team in CI/CD and cloud initiatives.

You will provide technical leadership, shape migration strategies, containerization efforts and security standards, collaborating across technology and business teams

Qualifications

• Extensive experience providing technical leadership within DevOps and Cloud Engineering.
• Significant experience leading DevOps/Cloud engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Deep expertise in CI/CD architecture, automation, containerization and cloud technologies.
• Experience developing and executing cloud migration and modernization strategies.
• Strong agile mindset with a passion for innovation, automation and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's degree with relevant technical training, certifications or extensive applicable experience; Master's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously evolve enterprise DevOps Engineering architecture.
• Lead and develop a team of DevOps and Cloud Engineers.
• Design and expand on-premise and cloud CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive strategies across source control, build and branching, artifact management, code scanning, automated testing and deployment.
• Lead containerization, orchestration and cloud migration initiatives.
• Advance the transition toward serverless cloud architecture.
• Provide hands-on technical direction across discovery, design, scripting and development.
• Improve software delivery velocity through automation and continuous improvement.
• Manage product and sprint backlogs supporting DevOps and cloud roadmaps.
• Recruit, coach and develop technical talent.
• Partner across technology and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Maintain strong data security, architectural and regulatory standards.
