Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Lead Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate cloud and infrastructure foundations supporting battery cyclers and cloud apps. This fully remote role is within CA, TX, MN, WA, or CO and requires leadership in architecture, automation, and security across AWS, EKS, Linux, Docker, and IaC.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating AWS-based cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and EKS.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code and configuration automation (Terraform, Ansible, or Packer).
• 3+ years of AWS/cloud architecture, Kubernetes, and Linux system administration.
• Proficiency with CI/CD practices and Docker-based deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate cloud and infrastructure foundations for cloud applications and IoT workloads.
• Collaborate with software, analytics, operations, and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust infrastructure solutions.
• Own AWS-based cloud environment architecture including security, networking, compute, storage, identity, observability, and cost management.
• Build, scale, and operate Kubernetes clusters (including Amazon EKS) for highly available services.
• Design, implement, and operate monitoring and observability across Kubernetes and AWS.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code and configuration automation (Terraform, Ansible, Packer).
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines and containerized workloads using Docker.
